Palliative and End of Life Care Workshops from PEPA
In conjunction with MNCLHD Specialist Palliative Care Service, Program of Experience in the Palliative Approach (PEPA) invite you to attend a FREE Palliative and End of Life Care workshop.
Topics covered:
- What is palliative care and end of life care/ principles of pal care
- Common symptoms and care/ providing care
- Advance care planning/ respecting patients’ choice/ ethical issues
- Identifying deterioration/ end of life care
- Communication/ difficult conversations
- Grief/ bereavement
- Professional self-care

The target audience for these workshops are nursing and carer workers currently working in aged care and/or community setting with little/limited/general knowledge of a palliative approach to care. CPD points are available.

LGBTQI+ Inclusive Palliative Care eLearning
LGBTQI+ Health Australia is also pleased to announce the release of 4 unique eLearning modules to help professionals learn more about inclusivity in palliative care.
The eLearning has been developed in partnership with palliative care experts and co-designed with LGBTQI+ communities across Australia.
A total of 12 CPD hours can be achieved by completing all four modules (or 1.5 hours per module).
