The Graduate Certificate in Primary Healthcare Nursing from Southern Cross University is a new and unique qualification that will position graduates to take advantage of the shifting focus of healthcare delivery from the acute sector to the primary healthcare environment.
The course will equip nurses to meet the growing demands of chronic and complex health conditions and an ageing population.
This course is designed for Registered Nurses who are either working, or wishing to work in the primary health care environment (including general practice). Graduates will have an understanding of the philosophies that underpin the delivery of primary healthcare in Australia and internationally, and will enhance and expand clinical practice knowledge.
