RSL LifeCare is a leading Senior Living organisation providing care and service to over 7,500 people and with 3,000 staff. Services are provided throughout NSW and the ACT, with a focus being residential aged care, retirement living and home care.
RSL LifeCare is seeking multidisciplinary, independent care and clinical experts (up to 10 remunerated positions) who can act to provide specific expertise, undertake reviews, write papers, reports and recommendations on behalf of, and commissioned by, the board-appointed Care and Services Committee as an advisory group meeting twice annually. Meeting attendance will be remunerated, and travel costs covered.
RSL LifeCare is particularly looking for candidates with some or all the following skills/background:
- A robust knowledge of clinical care and services in Australia’s Aged Care System is necessary.
- You will be able to demonstrate knowledge, expertise and success of innovative practices and advancements in the industry with an appetite to explore leading-edge ideas that lead to better outcomes for clients and the organisation.
- Experience in advancing service delivery though enabling technologies and advancing workforce effectiveness will be highly regarded.
- An understanding and empathy of the principles of consumer directed care and other emerging government policy and practices are essential.
- You will have AHPRA registration as a general practitioner, or registered nurse or other allied health professional, preferably supported with post-graduate qualifications in aged or related care from an established or recognised tertiary body.
- Ideally you may have had accountability for achieving compliance and accreditation successfully in aged care services.
- Ideally you will have technical skills gained at a senior executive level for 8 to 10 years.
Particular areas of clinical expertise/disciplines that RSL LifeCare is seeking to have on the panel include: mental health, palliation, dementia, psycho-geriatric, gerontology, pharmacology, general practice, health economics, quality accreditation, occupational therapy, medico-legal.
