New specialist services join the eReferral network in Northern NSW

It’s now even easier to connect patients with the care they need. New services and simplified categories mean faster, smarter referrals across Northern NSW.

Access to specialist care in Northern NSW is getting easier, with more hospital services now accepting eReferrals from GPs and primary care providers.

From 7am on Wednesday 7 August 2025, eReferrals will be available for:

  • Tweed General Medicine
  • Tweed ENT Clinic (for children aged 4–14)
  • Tweed Specialist Renal Clinic
  • Grafton Obstetrics and Gynaecology Clinics

These additions are part of an ongoing rollout to expand digital referral options and streamline care pathways across the region.

To make things simpler, related services are also being grouped more intuitively. The new Tweed and existing Lismore ENT clinics now sit under ‘Ear, Nose and Throat’, while Orthopaedics, KAHAS, and Fracture Clinics have been combined under one ‘Orthopaedics’ category.

With services spanning cardiology, oncology, paediatrics, mental health, maternity, surgery and more, the expanded eReferral network means less paperwork, faster referrals, and more coordinated care for patients across the Northern NSW Local Health District (NNSWLHD).
