Bringing ADHD care closer to home for Northern NSW families

In 2024, Healthy North Coast launched a ‘shared model of care’ with Northern NSW Local Health District and local Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations, allowing children living with ADHD to transition to care with their local GP after first seeing a paediatrician to confirm the diagnosis.

Dr James Hodges, Head of Paediatrics at Grafton Base Hospital, chatted with ABC North Coast at the time about what this means for local families.
