Introducing Kelsey Tarrant

Although she’s not new to Healthy North Coast, we are thrilled to have enticed Kelsey to the Healthy Living and Ageing team.

Although she’s not new to Healthy North Coast, we are thrilled to welcome Kelsey to the Healthy Living and Ageing team as the Key Lead for Palliative and End of Life Care, bringing extensive experience in nursing, mental health, and community engagement with her.

Kelsey is a Registered Nurse with a background in oncology, haematology, and palliative care at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre in Melbourne, having worked across inpatient, outpatient, and day chemotherapy units.

She has a double degree in Nursing & Psychology and brings experience in the acute care setting, along with project management and workforce education experience.

Kelsey is going to be leading our end of life and palliative care program which will include advance care planning, end of life pathways and building nurses confidence in all things palliative care. That doesn’t stop at nurses and a large part of Kelsey’s work will be building capability of our GPs to take a palliative approach to patients with life-limiting conditions.

Outside of work, Kelsey enjoys the sunshine, reading, beach walks, and making life brighter with her golden retriever puppy, Honey.
