Opportunity for GPs: LARC training with full support for rural and remote practitioners

Excellent opportunity to upskill in Long-Acting Reversible Contraception (LARC) procedures.

Healthy North Coast encourages general practitioners to take advantage of an excellent opportunity to upskill in Long-Acting Reversible Contraception (LARC) procedures. Through the AUSLARC training program and coordinated by Family Planning Alliance Australia, this training is particularly valuable for GPs looking to expand their scope of practice in reproductive health. It supports improved access to LARC services for patients, especially in regional and rural communities. Importantly, for GPs located more than 100 km from a training site, course fees, accommodation, and travel costs are fully covered, making it a highly accessible opportunity for rural and remote practitioners. We encourage you to share this opportunity with your practices. Increasing the number of GPs trained in LARC procedures will enhance patient care and reduce barriers to accessing contraception services.
