About
Luke commenced his health career in 2001 as a physiotherapist. He has worked extensively in clinical capacity, health management and administration roles in both the public and private sector over the past two decades. He has held senior management and operational positions within the NSW public health system and is dedicated to working collaboratively with patients, carers, clinicians and administrators. His clinical area of practice is musculoskeletal physiotherapy. Luke has held roles responsible for operational management of public hospitals in Western Sydney, including Director of Business Analytics & Performance, facility General Manager and most recently General Manager of Integrated and Community Health Services. He also holds consumer advocate and patient representative roles with national and international organisations with a focus on management of cardiovascular health and rare diseases.
Background
Luke is passionate about provision of best practice programs and models of care to improve health outcomes and experiences, doing so with a strong understanding of efficient resource use and the design requirements critical to large scale health service redesign and transformation. He has a particular interest in timely access to appropriate health care, chronic and complex disease management and improving health system literacy.
Luke has relocated to the familiar surrounds of the Far North Coast with his family, with his wife growing up in the local area at Lennox Head and Ballina.
