Ever felt unsure about the best way to treat a chronic wound, or wished for quicker access to specialist support?

Wound care in aged care is complex. Residents often have multiple health conditions, and wounds can be slow to heal and difficult to manage. But with the right knowledge, tools, and support, you can deliver the care your residents need – at the right time, in the right place.

That’s where the Wound Care Champion program comes in.

Healthy North Coast, in partnership with Mid North Coast and Northern NSW Local Health Districts, has developed this program to help aged care nurses like you build confidence and clinical skills in managing chronic wounds.

What’s in it for you?

  • Boost your confidence with clear, practical guidance
  • Strengthen your skills using best-practice wound care pathways
  • Access free mentoring and face-to-face support from expert wound educators
  • Be recognised as a leader in your service and part of a growing community of wound care champions
  • Make a difference for your residents – avoiding unnecessary hospital transfers by getting the care right, early

Not just another training course, this is a supportive, hands-on learning opportunity designed by aged care nurses, for aged care nurses.
