Investing in residential aged care nurses on the North Coast

Healthy North Coast has engaged industry leading nurse education specialists to deliver a targeted RACH nurse training program.

Across the footprint, nurses recently shared insights into their training needs, including how they like to learn and what gets in the way.

With this in mind, Healthy North Coast has engaged industry leading nurse education specialists Kim Poyner and Riwka Hagen to deliver a RACH nurse training program developed specially for residential aged care nurses on the North Coast. This is designed to enhance clinical skills and support nurses to work at the top of their scope.

Kim and Riwka bring extensive expertise in aged care, primary care, and health system transformation as educators and workforce development specialists, amongst many other accolades. They both bring passion and energy for the aged care sector.

Commencing in April with 5 pilot RACHs, the program will be rolled out region-wide later this year.

Stay tuned for updates on training opportunities and how your facility can get involved!
