About
Dr James Goldstein is a consultant psychiatrist in Byron Bay and a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists.
He has a particular interest in treatment-resistant depression. Through North Coast TMS and North Coast Mind Clinic, he provides assessment and treatment planning for repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) and intranasal esketamine. Treatment recommendations are tailored to each person’s clinical needs, previous treatment and preferences. For patients who meet Medicare eligibility criteria, rTMS treatment sessions are bulk billed.
Through North Coast Mind Clinic, Dr Goldstein provides assessment and ongoing care for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder and ADHD. He sees first responders and patients with work-related psychological injuries under workers compensation (WorkCover), veterans accessing care through DVA, and private patients eligible for Medicare rebates.
Dr Goldstein works collaboratively with patients, their GPs and other treating professionals.
