We believe in 'nothing about our community without our community'.
Help us improve how we listen and engage
Healthy North Coast believes that decisions about our community should be informed by the people who live in it. That’s why we’re asking community members and people with lived experience to help shape how we engage, listen and work alongside our communities.
We want to understand what meaningful, safe and inclusive engagement looks like from your perspective.
Your feedback will help guide how we:
- Design and improve health and wellbeing services
- Understand the health needs and priorities of our communities
- Gather community insights and lived experience
- Involve people in decisions that affect health and wellbeing across the North Coast
We are particularly interested in hearing from people with lived experience.
Lived experience means you have personal experience of a health condition, life circumstance or significant event that has impacted your life. This could be something you are experiencing now or have experienced in the past. It also includes the experiences of family members, carers and supporters.
This may include experiences such as:
- Mental health challenges
- Suicide or self-harm
- Alcohol and other drug use
- Chronic illness or disability
- Racism or discrimination
- Homelessness
- Domestic and family violence
- Incarceration
- Natural disasters or climate-related impacts
- Other significant health, wellbeing or life experiences
You do not need any special qualifications or experience to participate. We simply want to learn from your experiences and hear your ideas about how Healthy North Coast can better engage with our community.
Your experiences and insights are valuable and can help shape better health services and stronger community engagement across the North Coast.
