Building Nurse Capacity

A free education program supporting nurses in general practice and aged care to build confidence, strengthen skills, and lead proactive, coordinated care for older people.

Healthy North Coast recognises the extraordinary role nurses play in helping our community live and age well. With one in three North Coast residents expected to be over 65 by 2036, skilled and confident nurses are vital to delivering sustainable, high-quality care.

The Building Nurse Capacity for Healthy Ageing Program is a free education initiative that supports nurses in both general practice and residential aged care to strengthen capability, build confidence, and lead proactive, coordinated care.

Through flexible, on-line and practical learning, nurses gain the tools to make confident clinical decisions, provide early intervention, manage chronic conditions effectively, and help prevent avoidable hospitalisations, all while supporting older people to live and age well.
