Healthy North Coast — Our Executive Team
About
Aimee McNeill has extensive experience working with local communities to achieve the best possible health results. She has been with Healthy North Coast for almost nine years in roles focused on community engagement, mental health, and commissioning services — often for disadvantaged people living in the region’s rural and remote communities.
Background
Aimee is passionate about quality improvement and commissioning for outcomes. A self-described ‘doer’, she has worked closely with mental health and alcohol and other drugs providers to ensure their services deliver quality care to those who need it most.
For the past two years, Aimee’s role as a Senior Manager, Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs has involved leading procurement and commissioning activities to establish mental health and suicide prevention services across the North Coast.
She is proud to have been part of the award-winning Community Voices program, working with the Rural Doctors Network to establish a GP clinic at Stuart’s Point. As state and national reform continues, engaging people and designing and commissioning services that meet the needs of the community are priorities that remain close to her heart.
Aimee believes early intervention and prevention are two of the keys to improving health outcomes. She is currently studying for her Master of Suicidology through Griffith University — seeking to broaden her knowledge of advancements in suicide research and intervention.
A Clarence Valley resident for the past 15 years, Aimee lives on a 100-acre property on beautiful Yaegl Nation near Brooms Head.
