Updated referrers for vaginal pessaries
The pathway now provides up-to-date information about providers who can assess, fit, and provide ongoing care for women requiring a pessary.
HealthPathways has updated the referral information for Vaginal Pessary Referrals used to manage Pelvic Organ Prolapse. The pathway now provides up-to-date information about community providers who can assess, fit, and provide ongoing care for women requiring a pessary.
Vaginal pessaries are a simple, effective non-surgical treatment that can help relieve prolapse symptoms and improve quality of life. The updated pathway makes it easier for clinicians to identify the most appropriate local providers and refer patients for timely care.
Clinicians are encouraged to use the updated pathway to ensure referrals are directed to the most appropriate service and that patients receive timely support. Local clinicians trained in pessary fitting, including GPs, are invited to request inclusion on the pathway via the ‘Feedback’ button.
