Have a voice in our community survey.
Tell us what's up, or down, with health in your town!

Speak Up is a community survey that is run every 3 years across our region. It’s a chance for you, your friends, colleagues and family to tell us about your health and health service experiences — what’s working and what’s not.

We know that good health and good health services are essential. This is your chance to make them even better.

Your feedback will make a difference.

More than ever, it’s essential that we have a strong community voice at the centre of planning and decision making. Feedback received through Speak Up can help shine a light on what and where health services and supports are needed, and how to prioritise available funding to meet the unique needs of our region. See below for examples from our 2018 local health needs assessment.

Plus, you might win $100.

By participating in the 2021 Speak Up survey, you could win one of 20 x $100 cash cards. Terms and conditions apply. Be the voice that helps to improve health outcomes for yourself, your family and your community.

Together, we can create a healthier North Coast.

Survey findings will be combined with other health data sources to form a comprehensive local health needs assessment for our region. In past years, we have produced different materials to help share the unique findings and needs of North Coast communities.

These materials have included fact sheets containing health and service statistics, as well as community perspectives gained. This year, we’ll also be developing a website experience to help share all of the latest findings.

Here’s what people have had to say about our Speak Up community survey and local health needs assessment in the past…

Healthy North Coast’s community survey and health needs assessment findings have been super helpful in supporting me to introduce health students to our region, so they are more aware of the health needs of our communities.

Frances Barraclough, Lecturer, University Centre for Rural Health (UCRH)

A good response rate will provide a clearer picture of health in our region, and will result in information to assist all health providers and agencies to better tailor their services to meet community needs.

Rob Curry, North Coast Allied Health Association (NCAHA)
