The Australian population is growing and ageing2. As they age, many Australians will experience chronic illnesses, disability, and/or physical or cognitive decline3.

One in five Healthy North Coast residents are aged 65 years or older. This figure is much higher than state or national averages1 (Our region: 20.4%, NSW 14.7%, Aust 14.0%).

Current Healthy North Coast programs include support for older people with age-related health issues including chronic disease management, disease screening and prevention, and mental health.

New: Work has commenced on a Healthy Ageing Strategy in conjunction with the North Coast Collective. Watch this space for more updates.
