There are also some great patient resources available such as:
This information is also available on the Patient Info website.
Disaster Management – General Practice Response
This page is for use by general practices during a disaster or adverse weather event. The pathway details how the local primary care response is coordinated and provides advice for GPs deployed to an evacuation or recovery centre. There is patient management information about patients with chronic disease, effects of bushfire smoke exposure, heat-related illness, access to patient records, vaccine storage, preventative care and medication safety. In the event of a natural disaster or emergency it may be updated with specific relevant information.
NOTE: New resources are constantly being added to these pathways.
Emergency contacts and patient resources from this pathway are also available on the Patient Info website: Disaster Resources
