The Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care is inviting comments on the draft Acute Anaphylaxis Clinical Care Standard.
Comments are sought from health care professionals, consumers and any other interested parties.
The development of national clinical care standards is a priority area in the Commission’s 2018-21 work plan. A clinical care standard contains a small number of quality statements that describes the care a patient should be offered for a specific clinical condition or defined part of a clinical pathway. It supports:
- People to know what care should be offered by their health care system, and to make informed treatment decisions in partnership with their clinicians.
- Clinicians to make decisions about appropriate care.
- Health service organisations to examine the performance of their organisation and make improvement in the care they provide.
How to provide comments:
The draft Acute Anaphylaxis Clinical Care Standard and instructions for submitting comments are available here.
The public consultation period is now open and will close at 11:59pm (AEDT) on Sunday 13 December 2020.
