The Primary Health Care Excellence Awards was a program delivered by North Coast Primary Health Network in 2016 and 2017. The program honoured the individuals and teams working to bring better health to our region and celebrated the fresh ideas making a difference to the North Coast.  

In 2018 the Department of Health confirmed the key role of PHNs in the Australian health system. Focus is on the commissioning of new services for North Coast communities with less flexibility for staffing and operating costs. As a result, the Primary Health Care Excellence Awards will no longer be taking place.

North Coast Primary Health Network is proud to have established the Primary Healthcare Excellence Awards and we hope that one day they can return. Until then, please keep sharing with us your fantastic programs and good news stories.
