This course will focus on the nurse’s role in the fundamentals of HIV prevention, care, and monitoring. This will be explored through presentations, panel discussions, insights from a person with lived experience of HIV, and an online learning module. Learning Outcomes
- Outline the basic science of HIV
- Recognise the nurse’s role in HIV prevention
- Discuss who should be offered HIV tests and the nurse’s role in testing
- Discuss the nurse’s role in HIV monitoring, including co-morbidity assessments
