Vaping & AOD
Experimenting with e-cigarettes, alcohol and other drugs is now a relatively normal part of adolescent risk-taking behaviour, however primary care professionals should be alert to substance use behaviour and the impact that substance use can have on the developing brain and later cognitive development.
Join this clinical society event to explore the prevalence of vaping among children and young people. You’ll have the opportunity to learn the health effects of vaping, receive practical tips on vaping and smoking cessation for parents and young patients. Additionally, we will explore the impact of substance use on cognitive development and look at referral pathways and service options for alcohol and other drug addictions.
A two-course dinner is provided. Register now to expand your knowledge and improve patient care.
