The Baker Institute aims to bring together health professionals to discuss measures to reduce the burden of chronic disease, particularly chronic disease in the Indigenous community. One of the ways this is done is by holding annual symposia on issues important to health professionals working with the impact of chronic disease.
The 2020 symposium will focus on chronic kidney disease, plus cardiovascular disease and diabetes management. It will also provide the latest evidence-based information and practical tools for health professionals working in remote and rural Australia, with a particular focus on the Northern Territory.
