community engagement

Community engagement is key to better health. We are committed to ensuring that a strong community perspective is incorporated into creating a better health system.

Community engagement means that community members are able to meaningfully participate in health care improvement by:

  • sharing experiences as a user of the health care system,
  • identifying local health needs and priorities, and
  • co-designing services to meet local needs.

By understanding the needs of the community and by working together, we are committed to improving access to quality health care for everyone on the North Coast.
