Primary Care Impact Update

Our new Primary Care Impact site has been open for two weeks. Health professionals have provided feedback that the layout is simple and it is easy to use and access the resources.

The COVID-19 influenza immunisation and patient and staff safety activities have been popular, with practices responding via the “our practice is working on this improvement” button.

As you can see, this has been a truly outstanding effort in the circumstances, with June figures still to come.

Thank you to all those in general practice who made influenza immunisation happen for vulnerable groups during March and April.

Visit the Primary Care Impact activity page for more information about influenza immunisation during COVID-19.

COVID-19 Patient and Staff Safety Considerations for the Future

During the first wave of COVID-19 infection, general practices made significant modifications to keep patients and staff safe.

In this short video, Melissa Chapman, Practice Manager from AB Surgery Kempsey reflects on their experience and what they learned to help them prepare for future outbreaks.

Thanks Mel from AB, we really appreciate it!

For more information, see the QI activity page for increasing patient and staff safety during COVID-19. Let us know your progress by clicking on one of the options at the bottom of the page.

If you would like to share your experience and plans for future outbreaks, please contact your Primary Health Coordinator (contact details are available on every Primary Care Impact page).

We are still in uncharted waters, so sharing with colleagues and learning from peers are some of the best things we can do.
