Reducing the Pain of Prescription Opioids

Come along to learn about responsible pain management for acute conditions in hospital and primary care settings.

GPs are increasingly having to tackle the downstream consequences of a growing epidemic, both globally and nationally, of escalating use of opioids in the management of non-cancer acute pain.

These educational sessions will help GPs strategise on approaches to stem this trend and consider alternatives to opioid use. By bringing together GPs and hospital staff, these sessions will facilitate the collaborative implementation of cease-and-wean plans and other de-prescribing strategies.
